Engineering, supply and data, from Bamako.

Smartek Solutions is a 100% Malian company based in Bamako that has supplied mining operations since 2017.

Who we are

Smartek Solutions is an engineering, consulting and project-delivery company serving mining and energy operators and public institutions across West Africa. We began by building digital systems for the field: tools to collect data, trace assets and products, manage documents and deliver public services where connectivity is limited and accuracy matters.

Today we apply the same discipline to the supply chain, sourcing consumables, parts and equipment directly from suppliers for mining operations. Our founders combine technology expertise with first-hand knowledge of our clients’ trades, so we start with the operational need and build the answer around it.

Whether we are delivering a part or a platform, our promise is the same: you will know where things stand.

Mission

To keep West African operations supplied and informed, by joining direct sourcing with data that can be trusted.

Vision & values

Five values, applied day to day

01

Reliability

We commit to dates and specifications we can meet, and report early when something slips. A mine does not stop for a late part.

02

Traceability

Every order, asset and record can be followed from origin to destination.

03

Field proximity

We work where the client works: limited connectivity, long corridors, local suppliers and local regulation.

04

Dual competence

Technology and trade knowledge: we understand the operational need before proposing a tool.

05

Integrity as a trusted third party

We hold data and manage spend for others: neutral between suppliers, transparent on price.

Leadership

The founders

Technical Leader · Technical Director

A developer with deep algorithmic expertise who builds strong engineering teams as well as strong code.

Smartek’s Technical Director has spent more than 20 years building software in Canada, France, Luxembourg and Mali: four markets with different users, rules and infrastructure. That range shapes how Smartek engineers: systems that hold up on mine sites and in public offices. Hands-on at the keyboard and the whiteboard, the Technical Director leads the platforms and the engineering culture behind them.

Business Leader · Managing Director

A mining executive who turns complex resource projects into growth at every stage of the mining lifecycle.

Smartek’s Managing Director brings a rare combination: ten years in international product design, then more than a decade as a mining executive in West Africa. The first taught how to build things people use; the second, how projects move from exploration to production. At Smartek, the Managing Director drives growth, client relationships and procurement for mining and energy operators.
